I have decided that rather than buying items to enhance my mac and workspace, I’m going to try and use household items. This is going to be a multipart series of blog posts, hence the “Part 1″. I am going to try to help out all out your wallets with this series.
There are many ways of proping up your mac and putting it in a more ergonomic position. Coming from an iMac I am used to a mouse and keyboard, but with a mobible mac I usually get my self into weird positions with the MacBook Pro on my lap. After a few hours of typing, clicking and chatting my back usually is hurting. So I have decided to try and make my setup more ergonomic. For more information on Ergonomics visit the Wikipedia page.
I thought long and hard to figure out how I could use a household item to do this. I came up with a Football Kickoff stand. I got it with an Wilson (American) Football. So I started figuring the best way to raise my 17″ MacBook Pro.

Start by sliding the stand under your MacBook or MacBook Pro. With the highest parts un the part between the Display and keyboard (Seen below).

And you are done. You have a nicer, cooler mac setup.

Thanks to John Casasanta, the developer of iClip for inspiring me to post this idea.

Thank you for wasting my time and your own. Why would someone even bother posting a page that tells you to put a football tee under your computer? Maybe you wasted your time for the sole purpose of wasting other peoples time, but besides that there is no reason for this to be on the internet.
