Over the last couple weeks I have been having problems with the MacBook Pro. AppleCare has already attempted to fix the internal problems, but this time they are mostly external. Case separating, weird marks, weird noises. Being a blogger I figured, before you take it in, you get the publics opinion. I have made a short clip showing what is wrong, but basically the casing that holds in the keyboard and trackpad is separating from the body. I call this defective, if its not going to stay together, its defective. From normal use as well, the palm rests are getting black spots on them, seems like my Macs not looking to good.
For a computer worth over $3000, it has really not held up all to well. As I mentioned in another post, To Apple Care or Not To Apple Care; That is the Question, I have already had a lot replaced on this MacBook Pro, and it is now starting to fall apart. Take a look at the embedded video and let me know what you think.
So, what do you think? Should I email Steve? Call up AppleCare? Bring it to the store and ask (or demand) for a replacement? Or just suck it up?

Meh, every Mac will have a problem eventually… Mention it to Apple if you really want, I’d post on the Discussion Forums to see how many others are having the same problem though. Some things we just need to suck up :/
Personally I would go to the Apple Store, don’t wait on hold for ages trying to get someone who may or may not be able to help you.
I concur with Emory. Take it to the store. If you have Leopard back it up with Time Machine first. Take it to the store when it is busy, especially when there are other potential buyers around. There is a website that shows how to take apart the laptop. Go to it and look at the pictures. It will show you the little tab that is broken.

Here’s a picture of the case separation (a bit exaggerated to show how loose it is):

And here’s a picture of the black dots:

I’m not under AppleCare, so there’s nothing I can do about it.
